I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Robin Gibb.
It appears that the whole family are having a pretty rough time of it lately. I feel very much for Barry who is the last remaining member’ he must be totally devastated.
RIP
Robin

He was on of those guys who never looked completely well. He will be sadly missed though – I’ve always been a fan.

We seem to be having a spate of important musical influences passing over to the other side this year. Donald ‘Duck’ Dunn one of the most influential bass players in the world. Played on the early Soul records, a founding member of Booker T and the MG’s with Steve Cropper. Played on all the Otis Reading stuff like ‘My Girl’, ‘Sitting on the Dock of The Bay’ etc. ‘Midnight Hour’ – Wilson Picket, to name just a two. Also one of the most underrated female singers, Phoebe Snow. She is the backing singer on the Paul Simon record Rhyming Simon, she hits that note that is so high only dogs could hear it! She later had some personal chart success. And my most favourite Rock Drummer ever, Levon Helm. He of The Band. The band that Bob Dylan put together way back in the 60’s, and then with their own smash album ‘Music from the Big Pink’. Levon was a wonderful drummer and a great vocalist who sadly also died of Cancer last month.
I get so despondent sometimes, but I know that one should count one’s blessings and not our curses.
